This stand up paddle/Kayak tour goes through the Bon Accord Lagoon at night. Bioluminescence is caused by blooming phytoplankton. If all the conditions are right we will get to see glowing plankton, if not we will still get a magnificent tour of the lagoon on a beautiful night. We meet at Pigeon Point for 6pm and leave about 6:30 p.m. We normally get back in by 9:00 p.m. This time does change in the winter months.
We recommend that you book a kayak space if you have never stand up paddled before. If you would like to stand up paddle for the first time, please come to Radical Sport on Pigeon Point for 5:15pm (please let us know if you are doing this). If you have stand up paddled before or would like to go in a kayak instead you can come for 6:00pm. We normally leave about 6:30pm and return between 8:30 and 9:00pm, depending on the group. Kayak spaces are limited so please book in advance. All ages are welcome, although for young kids we recommend kayaks, with the child in front and the parent behind.
Night time paddle in a Mangrove Lagoon.
No Mans Land at Night.
If we are lucky stary nights are spectacular
